The Process
Florida is a great place to live. However, the same mild climate that attracts thousands of visitors every year to the Sunshine State also makes it an ideal environment for weed growth. This in turn can rapidly transform your beautiful waterfront property into an unusable eyesore.
We offer our clients turnkey service to recapture and maintain the natural beauty of their waterfront properties. To accomplish this, we follow a tested and proven 3-step process and take on the grunt work so that you can sit back and enjoy the view.

Step 1: Determine if a permit is required
We will handle the paperwork to keep you in compliance with Florida law.
In some cases, Florida law requires homeowners to obtain a permit from the Fish and Wildlife Commission prior to controlling or removing aquatic vegetation. Other water bodies are exempt from this restriction.
We will let you know if a permit is necessary for your property and if so, we will walk you through the process to complete the free application with the state. It takes about 5-10 minutes of your time; we will do the rest. If applicable, once the permit is granted, we will return to complete the work.

Step 2: Target the roots using chemical herbicides, mechanical removal, or both.
Eliminate the root of the problem.
Effective aquatic weed control is much more than merely trimming what is visible on the surface.
By far the most effective, longest-lasting solution is to kill the roots. That is what we do, so that you can get back to enjoying your waterfront view.
Rest assured: we are certified herbicide applicators with the State of Florida, and the herbicides we use are safe for fish and other aquatic life. We will target the unwanted weeds while maintaining your healthy aquatic ecosystem.

Step 3: Perform ongoing maintenance
"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." - Benjamin Franklin
Maintaining a beautiful shoreline is no different from any other form of lawn care. Sorry to disappoint you, but there are NO permanent solutions for complete removal of the weeds from your waterfront property.
In Florida, this means that aquatic weeds will keep encroaching unless deliberate steps are taken to stall their advance.
We can help with that as well! After the initial removal, follow-up visits can be scheduled to maintain your pristine views. If done regularly, these visits are much easier, quicker, and cheaper.
